Prepare to enter another dimension of european skateboarding! From the 7th to 10th of August 2008 Carhartt and Etnies turn the beautiful city of Basel/ CH into the epicentre of the skateboarding universe with the 8th edition of the EUROPEAN SKATEBOARD CHAMPIONSHIPS!!!

The contest takes place again at the “St. Margarethen ice rink”, to most locals known as “Kunsti”. With the help of IOU-Ramps the ESC crew will build a state of the art futuristic streetcourse and miniramp. With about 500 competitiors from all over Europe the ESC already went on record-breaking-course in 2007, this year we expect an even bigger invasion from every corner of the Galaxy.

Starting with the Junior Champs on Thursday the under-16-year-olds will get their time to shine within their three age classes. Female contestants will get their chance on Sunday’s Girls Jam. Friday and Saturday will almost completely belong to street qualifications. Parallel to this the miniramp will host the first battle of riders, whose winners will move on to the final. Speaking of which, the finals of our intergalactic power struggle will take place on Sunday.

Four days long the “Kuntschi” will be rolled, grinded, and flipped over under this year’s motto “Science Fiction”. And of course we’ll complete this with an ultramagnetic program of music, party and more skateboarding around the ESC.
